Cycling World Champion set to attend Sheffield’s Celebration of Sport

Steve is attending the glittering gala dinner at the English Institute of Sport Sheffield on Wednesday 5 October.

He has achieved numerous awards in the world of cycling, including Downhill World Champion in 2009 and Triple World Cup Champion.

Steve recently announced his retirement from the sport but continues to cycle and offers training to other cyclists in Sheffield with his company, Steve Peat Syndicate.

The Sheffield born and bred cyclist will be amongst the 1,000 guests expected at the Olympic Legacy Park event. Sheffield’s Celebration of Sport will be staged in the centre of the Indoor Athletics Arena at EIS Sheffield.

Steve said: “We’ve got so many great athletes in the city and it’s wicked that we can actually have a gala dinner and celebrate that.”
