Sheffield & Tinsley Canal is a stone’s throw from Sheffield Olympic Legacy Park and is easily accessed via the bridges between the hills.

The canal is frequently used for canoeing, kayaking & paddle boarding and the Canal & River Trust run a number of family sessions throughout the year.

The canal moorings adjacent to Sheffield Olympic Legacy Park provide an ideal location for fishing or simply watching the world go by.

The canal towpath can be followed from the Park towards Sheffield city centre or Meadowhall and forms part of the Blue Loop – an 8 mile waterways walk around Sheffield & Tinsley Canal and the River Don.

The Blue Loop is also popular amongst runners and cyclists providing a flat, traffic free exercise space.

Volunteer opportunities are available with the Canal & River Trust and Friends of the Blue Loop.
