The pitch, which has been designed to meet the needs of a variety of stakeholders including schools, local sports clubs and professional sporting teams, was completed by Charles Lawrence Surfaces Ltd in April 2017.
 
The facility is now ready for use by students at UTC Sheffield Olympic Legacy Park and children from Oasis Academy Don Valley. An operator has been appointed and an announcement will be made in the near future outlining when the pitch will be open for use to Clubs and the local community.

Mr James Pape, Principal of Oasis Academy Don Valley, said: “Our children are all extremely excited that the pitch is now ready for use and are eagerly looking forward to being able to extend their PE lessons to outside of the Academy allowing them to make good use of this fantastic facility.”
