Sheffield Olympic Legacy Park is set to be in the sporting spotlight in the next few days when it will be home to two exciting sports fixtures.

In Rugby League, Sheffield Eagles take on Bradford Bulls on Friday 15 February, while Sheffield United Women will go head to head against Manchester United Women on Wednesday 20 February.

Sheffield Eagles are off to a flying start to the season and currently stand in second place on the Betfred Championship league table behind Toronto Wolfpack, with Bradford Bulls in fourth place.

A crowd of up to 1,700 is expected at the Eagles match, with the potential for the game to sell out on the day.

Liam Claffey, Sheffield Eagles General Manager, said: “It should be a fantastic atmosphere at Sheffield Olympic Legacy Park tomorrow. Pre-sales from both Bradford and the Eagles have exceeded expectations and a bumper crowd is expected.

“We have had a great start to the season with two wins from two and whoever is victorious will sit top of Championship table on Friday evening.

“The game is also being streamed live for free on the Rugby Football League’s OURLEAGUE App and I encourage everyone to download it to watch what should be a great encounter.”

Sheffield United Women last took on Manchester United Women back in September and despite a 3-0 loss it was a thrilling game from beginning to end, with the rematch set to be even more exciting.

This is Sheffield United Women’s first time in the FA Women’s Championship, and they are currently in eighth place in the league table.
