The Front Door to Sheffield Olympic Legacy Park
Stadium Workspace, located within Steel City Stadium, is creating more than just a place to work. As the physical front door to Sheffield Olympic Legacy Park, the workspace is designed to build an innovation ecosystem where founders in the health, sport and wellbeing sectors can accelerate their ideas and growth. Whether just getting started or already scaling, founders benefit from a community, valuable connections and tailored support to help them take the next steps.
Collaboration That Powers Growth
Through a unique collaboration between Scarborough Group International, the developer and operator of Steel City Stadium, and Sheffield Technology Parks, Stadium Workspace is bringing the expertise, networks and infrastructure that have powered Sheffield’s central tech and science hub to the heart of Sheffield Olympic Legacy Park. The ambition is to create a distinctive support ecosystem that helps founders and their teams flourish.
Access to the Right Advice at the Right Time
This autumn, activity at Stadium Workspace is stepping up a gear. A programme of free drop-in sessions is connecting founders with experts in investment, IP law, accountancy, cyber security and more – addressing the tricky questions that keep business owners up at night. This month, for example, the community has been linked with MGRW Accountants, specialists in helping tech founders turn ideas into thriving businesses through smart tax planning, mentoring and hands-on financial support.
Inspiration, Connection and Collaboration
But the focus isn’t solely on professional advice. Interaction, inspiration and motivation are equally important for founders. A schedule of events has been designed to strike the right balance between learning and social connection. A recent highlight was LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® with facilitator Angel Takoree, using creative play to unlock new thinking and build stronger connections.
Coming up in October, the regular Stadium Social – this time in partnership with the Federation of Small Businesses – will feature health and wellbeing consultant Mike Lawrence, with a session tailored to the needs of the Stadium Workspace community. In addition, Women in Business will host “Facials and Fizz,” a networking event that combines fun with self-care.
Continuous Learning Beyond Events
For those unable to attend events, there’s a steady stream of valuable content including insights, advice and stories from both the Stadium Workspace community and the wider ecosystem. This ensures founders can continue to access knowledge and expertise, wherever they are.
Being part of Stadium Workspace is about much more than renting an office or coworking desk. It’s about connecting to something bigger: a community, an ecosystem and a support network that wants founders to succeed and has the collective strength to help make that happen.
Join the Stadium Workspace Community
Founders and businesses interested in becoming part of the community are encouraged to get in touch or attend an event to experience it first-hand. While priority access is given to organisations based at Sheffield Olympic Legacy Park, events and workshops are also open to the wider South Yorkshire business community.
