This year marks the 10th anniversary of the London 2012 Olympics and Paralympics and, here at Sheffield Olympic Legacy Park, we’re getting ready to celebrate as the country’s leading legacy project outside the host city.
Come and join the celebrations at our ‘Olympic Legacy in Action’ community event on Saturday 18 June from 10am to 3pm.
Fun-loving people of all ages are invited to take part in a day of FREE inclusive and accessible activities at venues throughout the Park – including the English Institute of Sport Sheffield, Don Valley Bowl, 3G Pitch, Oasis Academy Don Valley, Advanced Wellbeing Research Centre and the Sheffield and Tinsley Canal.
Try your hand at football, boxing, tennis, dance, rugby, basketball, netball, cycling, paddleboarding, kayaking and more!
The Advanced Wellbeing Research Centre will be hosting the AWRC Heptathlon – an opportunity to take part in seven different mini events and learn about the science behind each sport.
We’ve teamed up with Move More Sheffield and a whole host of activity providers from across Sheffield to showcase some of the amazing activities that take place throughout the city.
The celebration also forms part of Move More Month 2022 and further information about the day can be found on the Move More website
