But they do more than train and compete – the elite athletes based at the Park inspire and energise our local communities and play their part in driving forward essential research that is helping to get people moving.

GB Boxing
GB Boxing trains and develops the best male and female boxers from England, Scotland and Wales, producing numerous medal winners at major international tournaments.
GB Para Badminton
Para Badminton made its long-awaited Paralympic debut at Tokyo 2020 with Team England players to the fore.
GB British Para Table Tennis
The Para Table Tennis Performance Squad consists of athletes with the potential to medal at World and Paralympic level.
We’re also home to a number of professional sports teams who represent the region at national and international level.
Sheffield Eagles
Sheffield Eagles Rugby League Football Club are based at the Community Stadium. Their men’s team play in the Betfred Championship and the Club also has Women’s, Wheelchair and Learning Disability teams.
Sheffield Steelers
Sheffield Steelers Ice Hockey Club play their home games at Utilita Arena Sheffield and use iceSheffield as a second home for training and occasional games.
Sheffield Sharks
Professional basketball team, the B.Braun Sheffield Sharks pay their home matches at the purpose-built Canon Medical Arena.
Sheffield Hatters
The B.Braun Sheffield Hatters Basketball Club are pioneers in women’s sport and were the first women’s basketball team in England. Their home is at the Canon Medical Arena.
