They will be a key feature of the star-studded event on Thursday 4 October at the English Institute of Sport Sheffield at Sheffield Olympic Legacy Park, which will be a night of recognition and celebration of the sporting talent that Sheffield is home to.
This year will include attendance of sporting stars, with a particular emphasis on competitors from the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games and the PyeongChang Winter Olympics.
Sheffield is home to a diverse range of sporting talent and achievement on a variety of different performance levels, from amateur to professional and from local to international.
The Steel City incorporates a plethora of sporting activity, whether it is clubs run by dedicated coaches and volunteers, educational institutions that help their pupils and students maintain a healthy lifestyle or local projects to better social cohesion within the community.
Now you can recognise someone for their achievements or shine the spotlight on someone for their efforts. This is your chance!
There are seven award categories to celebrate Sheffield’s sporting achievements over the past two years (August 2016 to July 2018):
– Senior Sports Performer 2018
– Disabled Sports Performer 2018
– Young Sports Performer 2018
– Community Amateur Sports Club 2018
– Community Sport Volunteer 2018
– MOVE MORE Power of Sport Award 2018
– Contribution to Sport and Physical Activity in Education 2018

Nominations must be made by Monday 2 July 2018, with successful nominees in all categories being decided by an expert judging panel. Those who are shortlisted will receive a formal invitation to the event, taking place on Thursday 4 October.
