Year 13 Students Celebrate Top Results

Students at UTC Sheffield Olympic Legacy Park are celebrating a fantastic set of academic and technical results today.

The technical qualifications are equivalent to between one and three A Levels.

This year’s results have seen students achieve a strong set of academic and technical qualifications, with excellent outcomes across computing, health sciences and sport science.

This year, 66 students were counted in the Year 13 performance measures. ​

* In Digital Design and Development T Level, 100% of students achieved a pass grade, with 100% achieving Merit or above and 29.4% achieving a Distinction grade
* In Health and Social Care Extended Diploma, 100% of students achieved MMM or above, with 68.4% achieving DDD or above ​
* In Sport Extended Diploma, 90% of students achieved MMM or above, with 40% achieving DDD or above
* The A Level pass rate was 88.9%
* 50% of A Level grades were awarded at A-C*, while 33.3% were awarded at A-B

The cohort has secured a wide range of positive destinations, with the largest progression routes being into Healthcare and Nursing, Computing, Cyber Security and Data Science, Teaching and Education, and Sport-related degrees. Students have gained offers from universities including the University of Sheffield, University of Manchester, University of Birmingham, University of Nottingham, University of Surrey, and Sheffield Hallam University. Notable employment and apprenticeship destinations include the Royal Navy, Fire Service, Neodyne, Sierra 1 Security Stewarding Ltd, Highfield Qualifications (Software Development), and MK Elite Football Coaching.
