South Yorkshire and Bassetlaw Shows Up initiative

When? Friday 08.11.2024

Where? Advanced Wellbeing Research Centre

Time: 3pm to 5pm

Will you “Show Up” to help improve cancer outcomes through education? As part of the South Yorkshire and Bassetlaw Shows Up initiative, you are invited to join a dedicated group of education professionals to influence how we create and deliver resources and support in the workplace to improve cancer outcomes.

At this discussion will explore:
• The impact of cancer on staff, students, and their families.
• The opportunity for education of children and young people in preventing and detecting cancer.
• Understanding the sensitivity and appropriateness of cancer in education.
• Some ideas we have on resources for schools and colleges for feedback and shaping.

The session will be crucial in helping get the development and implementation of educations resources and campaign right. Those helping through contributing to the discussion will be recognised as “showing up” for their school or college community, as well as influence and get early access to what we produce.

Spaces are limited. To find out more, express interest or register to attend please contact John Gilbert, Managing Director of Eski Media who is supporting us and partners on this initiative at john@eski.media
